Skills Desired in a Fellow:
We are seeking an individual with strong academic credentials, superior written communication skills, and excellent analytical abilities. Specific competencies sought include knowledge of capital markets, experience with valuation methodologies, exceptional organizational talents, and proficiency with the Microsoft Office suite of products including Excel, PowerPoint, and Word. Business majors with a concentration in finance are desired, but not required. Prospective interns with any relevant experience in either investment banking, private equity, or consulting would be a plus, as well as any interest in assisting with entrepreneurial infrastructure and establishing best practices.
Responsibilities would include relevant investment banking tasks, such as extensive company/industry research, customer relationship management, drafting pitch materials and selling memoranda, financial modeling, and various marketing projects. The intern will be rated on the quality of his/her work and on his/her ability to complete various assignments in a timely manner. At the end of the internship, the intern supervisor will provide an exit interview with an evaluation of the intern’s overall performance.
