Week 4, June 23 – June 30

I hope this blog post reads playful and witty

As I recount week 4 living in the Bluff City

Us fellows have truly been having a blast

These past four weeks have flown by fast

We’ve been working hard at our internships during the day

But like all young professionals, we’ve managed to make time for play

On Saturday night we went out in true Memphis style

We caught a Redbirds game and ate at Huey’s for awhile

On Sunday the fellows ventured out east

For some delicious home cooking, Lauren’s mom made a feast

Spending time with everyone was lovely and sweet

And coming home with leftovers was an unexpected treat

On Tuesday, the New Memphis institute hosted an inspiring presentation

They featured 5 remarkable Memphian women sponsored by the First Tennessee Foundation

The women stressed an important mentality

A good leader shows patience, ambition, and vitality

All of us fellows can take their advice to heart

In preparing for our future careers to start

We attended Shabbat services at Temple and joined the congregation in song

I was proud to be part of a Jewish community so strong

We were then treated to dinner at East Tapas and Drinks on Temple Israel’s dime

The Asian guacamole, noodles, and crispy artichoke hearts were sublime

I reflect fondly on my time in Memphis this week

The experiences I’ve had as a TI Fellow have been exciting and unique

I can’t wait to eat more BBQ, run along the Mississippi River, and further explore

So with that I’ll conclude my recounts of week 4

But to add a last touch of Fellowship flare

Here are some goofy pictures I’d like to share
